Based in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Calling myself an independent type foundry would be a stretch however much I’d love that. A graphic designer with most of my interest in type is more approriate. Graduated Vilnius College of Design in 2015. From there worked my way up the ladder - designer in a local gym, a designer for event planners, finally making it into the big leagues - a graphic design studio. Currently work as senior graphic designer at The Critical research & design agency.
It is weird to reflect on this attraction to letterforms. I think it started since we learnt how to write in school and all I wanted to do was perfect my cursive writing. This love for letters grew immensely drawing graffiti in teenage years and matured in college when learning about typography and type design. I have to thank my wife Deimantė for pushing me to pursue this path I’ve been put on (insert a religious joke from my life). Anyway, hope you are having a great day reading this.
