I was invited to create a custom display typeface for Žalgiris as part of their identity rebrand. A sports team that symbolised freedom in occupied Lithuania during the 1980s, defeating moscow’s cska and giving people hope of a free and idependent country. The typeface captures the unique voice of Žalgiris - a mix of history in modern times, paying homage to unique team’s fonts and hand-drawn fans’ posters.
